Montilla: "Corner drying has allowed us to make the most of the kitchen space"

Fifty years ago, in 1970, we designed and manufactured our first dishwasher. That was the beginning of our dishwasher range. Over all these years, we have been the trusted partner for thousands and thousands of establishments, including users of all types: from luxury hotels to schools, hospitals and restaurants. Among them, we had the pleasure of meeting one of our very special users first-hand, the Clínica Asunción in Tolosa.

The Clínica Asunción is a private health complex in Gipuzkoa and has a multi-speciality hospital which has an SRC-2200IS90CA rack conveyor dishwasher. This machine is “indispensable” for the correct operation of the clinic's kitchen which is used to feed around 100 patients. This is what Karlos Montilla Alvarez, the Head Chef at the hospital, told us.

"Every day at the Clínica Asunción we serve breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner to almost 100 patients. This means that, four times a day, 100 trays full of dirty dishes come in and it all needs to be cleaned quickly so that we can fill them with the next meal. For us, having a tunnel dishwasher that allows us to wash all these dishes at once is vital.

Therefore, in 2018, when we renovated the kitchen, we knew that having a tunnel dishwasher where we could wash all the utensils was paramount. Advised by our distributor, Comercial Hostelera, and thanks to the combination of models offered by Sammic, we chose this tunnel dishwasher with corner drying. This allowed us to free up another space in the kitchen and we were able to make the most of the space that we had. Also, the space is now more comfortable for the person responsible for washing the dishes.

We have a lot of Sammic machinery in the kitchen: a potato peeler, a vacuum packing machine, blenders, another dishwasher, a coffee machine… We have always used Sammic in this kitchen. It's a brand that we trust and feel close to because, from experience, we know that their machines have a long product life and are very powerful.

We've had this tunnel dishwasher for over a year now and we're very happy indeed. At the moment, we couldn't work without it, we wouldn't be able to meet the patients' needs if we didn't have it. It simply wouldn't be possible!"
